First, I would like to say, before I move on to my passion, ” Internet Marketing” It has been a pleasure driving for you.
I have learned so much, and a Big Shout Out to all Taxi Drivers World Wide.. You, without a doubt, have one of the most difficult, most interesting, most demanding and underpaid jobs around…Cabby Ken would not change what I have experienced for the world… I’m moving on, and my expensive tombstone may or may not say Taxi Driver “Cabby Ken will be Okay”. What has changed?…”me has changed”, so onward, and upward…and I’m proud to say I will be bringing others with me who have seen the Online Internet Marketing Light!!!…That being said, please respect a good Cabby with some Taxi Tips…$
1st: Why you should not call multiple companies at the same time..This one is my personal pet peeve..
Stick with your Company of choice and they will stick with You, If you start calling every taxi in the phone book or even a 2nd Company, your name, phone # and/or address will get Flagged!! What does that mean? You will have a hard time getting good service in the future..Technology allows Taxi companies to do this..WHY?
2nd: Price of fuel… When cabby shows up..Hello.. it costs fuel and more so for the Cabby, is his time He could be on another fare..And then the next fare will wait even longer..The whole system gets backlogged..I could go on and on about this one, but we have a FOUR Letter word in this business, and it is called NEXT! We have to get on with the Next Fare, and the Next is what makes money in this business.
3rd: Check list before calling a taxi..Be ready! Some dispatchers may tell you – 10-15 minutes…In some cases, that’s the only words they know..But there could be a Cabby clearing just around the corner..So be ready..Most drivers will wait or even get out of the car to find you…And some won’t.. I will be adding a PDF check list soon, that you can print out and place on your fridge, That will ensure your Best Cab Ride.
4th: When is the best time to call a cab?- not at shift change..Ask your driver next time.
Best time is when one is sitting in your driveway..LOL, just kidding..but true!
Bar closing can be tough..
#5: How to guarantee a cab at bar closing
Plan ahead..Oh ya, I forgot, you’re at a bar..
This works:::Find a safe place away from the bar and call with your name and location; this way when the Cabby shows up everyone else is not rushing YOUR Cab.
OR ..Do what everyone else does and start Flagging..Please be careful I have seen way too many people almost get mowed over, and I’m sure it’s happened..Hey.. You’re just trying to get a safe ride home..
6th: Why you should tip a Good Cabby?
A Good Cabby remembers..and will keep an eye open, just for you!
And since I’m on the topic, if everyone tipped $5, this would be a great profession!
But realistically speaking, tip accordingly, and you’ll have a Great Ride..This is a service industry, and Cabbys work for their tips. And if your driver doesn’t deserve a tip..Don’t!!
7th: Made in Heaven..Please don’t Drink and Drive..
….I will have a full section on this ONE shortly..Cabby Ken
9th Hey!! Just making sure you’re paying attention..(“,)
8th: How do Cabbys spot a runner..Hey I don’t think so..But if you’re a Cabby, and haven’t figured this one out..Please get back to Cabby Ken..personally..It took me a while! Let’s share our info.
Be Kind to Yourself and Everyone Else !
The Best is yet to Come!!
