Cabby Ken did an unscientific survey in his Cab over the past two week-ends. Do you remember the Olympics? Did you know that if you won a gold, and your from South Korea..the government gives you a Salary 4 Life! What an Incentive!
Do you also know that 95% of our Canadian athletes are not rich, or will be due to winning metals..Unless your the 5% that are marketable due to their Abilities, Stories, Luck, Personalities, or family tragedies. Now that being said what do the other 95% do?
They have to market and brand themselves..which can be done if you have the imagination,drive and know-how..And if you don’t believe this one!..Who where the Olympics biggest sponsors?..try Pepsi, Coke MacDonalds and other Brands that I will guarantee you the Athletes do not consume at all, or on a regular basis.
It’s all about the Marketing!
Oh back to Cabby Kens unscientific survey in his Cab.
Cabby Ken asked the simple question to as many fares as possible :
Are you following the Olympics?
Answer: The ones that answered Yes..had such energy and enthusiasm answering my simple question.
The ones that answered No..Seemed to have No energy..and all conversation basically stopped!
I am glad to post that 84.5% answered Yes…Had a great time driving!
Team Canada and the World did their Job…Now it’s time we do ours!
