A Full Day! Court started at 10:00a.m. sharp on the 03rd day of February, 2010 in an old run down municipal building, with a small parking lot across the street in Blind River 0N two hours east of Sudbury 0N. That is if your not speeding!
Walking into the court room brought a flash back, to when I was Invited to a Mennonite church in Mine Center 0N. The men where All on one side, and the woman and small children where on the other..There I saw something Hollywood could not create..oops that will be another story..back to this one.
Well the Men in this small church like court room were OPP officers, and there were 15 of them, and on the other side with no exception were all the Innocent Defendants, Including Cabby Ken was 14. Question: How many guns were in the room?
Okay..You know what? I’m going right to the Chase! Cabby Ken lost his Case..Why?
I’m not a Lawyer, thats why they go to school a get paid what they do. I had No right defending myself..Why?..Well when I was talking maybe I should of been listening. When I said something maybe I shouldn’t of. I was the last to get called up Why? Cabby Ken was representing himself. I spent 6 hours in my pew with a half hour lunch break, and I learned alot, from the Judge to the Prosecutor to the Defense lawyers to the Police officers. What did I learn? They were all doing their Jobs, and I must admit they all did a good job, for they knew the law, know the rulings, fine print, and know the language..Cabby Ken did not, and I have a greater respect for our Legal System..
If you want to see Cabby Kens particulars on his Speeding Ticket..search Cabby Ken is going to court..above^..and you will see that this case should of been a walk in the Park!
Ive had 2 speeding tickets in my life and have easily logged a million miles driving, and guess what?/ this is the second time I’ve defended myself, and guess what?/ this is the 2nd time the Judge said Mr… Pay the fine!
That being said: Have to go to court..Lawyer up and with that Cabby Ken will shut up!
P.s You”ll never guess what happened on my return trip to Sudbury?
Same spot, Same officer, Same ticket!!!!!

laws are sets of rules ,subject to change at any time,, and not always applicable to us all. Defending yourself wAS NO DOUBT A LEARNING EXPERIENCE ,, AND IF YOU HAD WON ,,, ALL THE POWER TO YA,, JZ
It’s hard to go against the system when you don’t know the rules or the rules keep changing. Sorry – I thought you had a good case but the “experts” are never wrong and they put so much faith in their damned machines. Better luck next time or let’s hope there won’t be another time. Lin
It seems people don’t like taking responsibility for their actions. In all fairness if you get caught speeding like many of us have why do so many people try to get out of it. We can all comment on a serious crime where people do something and the public is outraged when the person gets off on a glitch but when the person is in the shoes of the court they are upset for having to accept responsibility. Lawyers are very well paid for one reason. To help people get off free. Just ask yourself one thing (and this happened to me) how would you feel if someone did your family wrong and hurt your loved ones. Then that person get off because he/she can afford a good lawyer. I know it is kind of extreme comparing a speeding ticket to a real crime but I have seen the other side. Bottom line is it could be worse
